“State TV” isn’t “State TV” enough for Mr. Trump

Watch for lots more “pops” to OANN. Or for Fox to capitulate and become what it always seems to have been: The Trump TV Network. WTF?

If Fox did any more for his re-election campaign, they would have to file paperwork with the FEC for in-kind contributions.

  1. “If Fox did any more for his re-election campaign, they would have to file paperwork with the FEC for in-kind contributions.”

    Why?

The Network News, other cable news, PBS, and entertainment television are all 24/7 Democrat campaign commercials and they don’t have to file.

Ya’ll can’t stand even one voice outside your bubble.

    1. FOX has the biggest viewing audience by far over the others. Add in talk radio and the Sinclair group, I would say conservative media are the bubble A one stop shop where you get all the news that reaffirms your opinions without the scant effort of changing channels.

Of course this is what is known as state media in other countries.

I prefer media that challenges power in governance and private industry. I want those in charge politically and economically to be looking over their shoulders every single day wondering if anyone is watching.

Think of the media as our security cameras, not as a public relations company for the government.

Are they perfect? Heck no. Is any business?

That is why we have a First Amendment. Some are great, some not so great and some are muckrakers or stooges. But they all have a right to be heard. It is up to us to sift through the debris.

So considering the size of conservative media, your beef about being so “little” is without merit in my opinion. They have just decided to put all their assets and talent into one or two outlets.

        1. Who’s trying to suppress FOX?

Criticism of the media is a time honored profession and hobby.

Are you trying to play the victim card with the largest, most successful media phenomenon?

          “Fake news…unfair…everybody knows that…”.

Is Trump’s paranoia catching? Seems like it to me.

Based on Trump’s tweet, it is Trump himself. Maybe? Or is he just poking them to fire Cavuto or any other talking head that doesn’t toe the Trump line?

        2. Considering that in 2016, Trump called EVERY single morning show on some sort of rotational basis (or so it seemed), ALL of the networks could have been accused of providing free campaign publicity.

However, in Fix’s case, they spend a lot more time promoting Trump and demeaning his opponents instead of just reporting the news, or discussing the news. They come off as a pro-Trump propaganda machine. And when one of their talking heads goes rogue and calls him out, he starts whining about how anti-Trump the network has become and makes statements that they aren’t doing enough to get him re-elected. The job of the media is to REPORT the news, not get a candidate elected. If they would ALL go back to that, then it would be a better world.

          1. Opposite of what? Fox? They don’t promote dems to the level Fox does Trump. To say otherwise is disingenuous and inaccurate. I see a lot of discussion from both sides of a debate on CNN then ever with Fox. Watch Cuomo’s show when he has a “Great Debate” segment and you will see what I am talking about.

By comparison to Fox, that does not even come close to being factual.
