The right way to handle Russian meddling

Russia aides Bernie’s campaign

This does not reflect on Sander’s campaign but do note that the Trump Justice Dept informed Sanders of the meddling and did not use it as a pretext to spy on the campaign or entrap Sanders into colluding.

  1. I believe that the Trump campaign was informed, but they decided to ignore it. That would cause someone in the intel community to wonder why the information was ignored.

Plus, Bernie saw what happened in 2016 and knew that if he didn’t act, he possibly would be investigated. And Trump’s DOJ wouldn’t open the investigation anyway; Trump WANTS to run against Bernie.

    1. Yeah, false conspiracy theory’s aside, Russia is helping Bernie to help trump stay in power.

Putin’s puppet will take full advantage as he continues to destroy our Country.

Bernie helped elect trump in 16 and is well on his way to doing so again…

    2. No, Trump’s campaign was not warned until after Carter Page had been wiretapped and attempts made to infiltrate the campaign.

Trump cold not have acted in 2016 because he did not get the defensive briefing Sanders was given.

Evidence? If you’ve got it, you should send it to the FBI inspector general right away, ’cause he could find any.

          1. so, that doesn’t give you the right to ignore the FACT that he was warned.

If you want to say that they should have warned him sooner, fine, but you cannot simply continue to perpetuate the LIE that they were NOT warned.

            Dr. Tabor didn’t say that.

      2. Carter Page was under surveillance even before the campaign. But that doesn’t matter to full blown Trumpists such as yourself.

Bottom line: The warning was provided to the Trump campaign and they not only did nothing, they embraced the possibilities.

Ah, I love the smell of nonsense in the morning.

The big story on this topic is Trump purging acting-DNI Maguire for the “crime” of doing his job. There is a lot of that going on right now and it is an open invitation to Moscow to help Trump stay in power.

For all your bluster about hating “tyranny” you are oddly silent as Trump does his best to kneecap all of the institutions designed to keep the President in check. It really appears that inside every conservative there is a monarchist (at best) trying to get out.

    1. Maguire was a traitor who deserved to be fired and should be indicted and locked up. He was well aware he was aiding and abetting the enemy (Chair of the House Intelligence Committee) when he disclosed truthful intelligence intended to protect the Country and not its Monarch.

Based on his outrageous mis-deed, I have NO sympathy for him.

      1. Saw something this morning that said Trump was upset because he believed ONLY Adam Schiff received the briefing. Even though it was the little lap dog Nunes, who was present, who reported the briefing to Trump.
