With only a 40% approval rating, there are bound to be honest conservatives who see through the phony president we currently have.

You can’t let the perfect be the enemy of the good.
As a Libertarian, I have serious disagreements with many things Trump has done, but he has also done a lot of very good things.
And Hillary would have done none of the good things and a lot more very bad things.
Every one of the Democrats running this year are worse than Hillary.
So, yay Trump. At least until Gary Johnson has a shot at winning,.

You equate being conservative and supporting Trump. That is not necessarily so. Critics of groups like the Lincoln Project are just peeved that party loyalty is superseded by love of country and principle.
Unlike what Trump has stipulated, the opposition and critics are not the enemy. They are simply Americans who believe differently.
It is going to be a vicious campaign. Truth will be a very rare commodity.

Doc doesn’t like Trump. He just hates America because 90% Americans openly laugh at Libertarians. Since he’s miserable and cannot have his way then if no one else should either and that’s okay with him.

Generally I do not believe anything you have to say because you have proven to be dishonest, childish, extremely gullible and prone to violent rhetoric. But, in this case, I will take your word that they are “Never-Trumpers” which is another way to say that they looked reality in the face three or four years ago. At least, unlike some of the other “useful idiots” on Team Trump you seem to accept the fact that they are Republicans. Good for you.

LOL . . . You need not insult me, little fella — for I am not a GOPster. In fact, Mr Trump is the only major party presidential candidate that I have ever voted for. I do not agree with everything he has done and on the issues of Afghanistan and Iraq, his policy has been nearly as bad as his two most recent predecessors’.
Of course, everlasting war is also the policy of the Never-Trumpers and the fact that Mr Trump is trying to bring peace to the ME, is one of the primary reasons they hate him so much. Make no mistake, those creatures are far more in tune with your ideology than with mine.

Martha McSally is too far to the right in the Republican party. She knew she’d get invited to be a guest on far-right talk shows to boost her campaign making that comment…and sure enough she was (Yeah! Free advertising and media attention just like then candidate got back in 2016).
Honestly, she should’ve simply ignored the question and kept walking.

Absolutely. But that is from the point of view of supporting normal civility and the dignity of her high office.
From the point of view of hanging on to power in today’s GOP she probably did the “right” thing and that is the problem not just for the GOP but for the country. Call it the Trump effect but it goes back before him. Remember, for example, the AstroTurf Tea Party movement and their behavior at Town Halls and such.
