  1. Glad to see you acknowledge that groupthink happens at all ages and all places. Normally, you assign it only to those you disagree with. I see it as strongly in Trump supporters as you do in the “radical left”.

      1. I have a dislike for idiots who can’t tell the truth and only provide counterfactual bullshit to further their arguments. Alternative facts lead to alternative lifestyles. He even does it when I agree with him

Are you expecting to receive rewards for impertinence?

  2. Hanson is tossing out hyperbolic comparisons that are part and parcel of the right wing echo chambers, groupthink on steroids.

“ Mueller’s team found no Russian collusion and no evidence of actionable Trump obstruction during the investigation of that non-crime. All the constant media reports that “bombshell” Mueller team disclosures were imminent and that the “walls are closing in” on Trump proved false.

Mueller himself testified before Congress, only to appear befuddled and almost clueless at times about his own investigation. Many of his supposedly brightest all-stars, such as Lisa Page, Peter Strzok and Kevin Clinesmith, had to leave his dream team due to unethical behavior.”

Mueller was not looking for “collusion”. He was assigned to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election and if there was a “conspiracy” with members of the Trump campaign. Despite the best efforts of Donald, Jr., Manafort, et. al., to conspire, evidently the Russians were too smart to make it obvious. Better to let “useful idiots” be just that. At least the way it appears to me.

Obstruction was found and Mueller said he could not clear Trump of obstruction. No “actionable” obstruction is merely the opinion of Barr and a policy of not prosecuting a sitting president. That is not a matter of innocence, but rather a matter of policy and procedure with regards to an interpretation of presidential immunity.

Finally, labeling Strzok and Page as among Mueller’s “brightest stars” is propagandist hogwash.

There were some correct assessments of a handful of pundits that made erroneous predictions or conclusions. Not surprising or unusual in the free market brawls of modern media. And it is apparent on right wing media as well, which has an edge in BS since the regime will retweet on demand.

    IMHO

It was also clearly the opinion of Democrats in the House who chose not to pursue impeachment on the basis of anything in the Mueller report.

I see nothing hyperbolic in Hanson’s observations. They certainly match my own lived experience as a channel surfer these last few years.

Again and again you embarrass yourself with links to right-wing bubble chamber rubbish. Typical PJMedia piece packed full of lies, half-truths and distortions.

Why is it that the only evidence to support the positions you and other Trumpers favor consists of alternative facts? Just one example . . . the Steele dossier is NOT discredited. In fact, just the opposite. As time has gone by more and more of the raw intelligence it contained has been corroborated.

OK, tell us what “more and more” you have in mind. Be specific.

      1. He needn’t bother. There’s no shortage of fake news that makes the very claim Mr. Murphy does. None of it is valid due the IG report, which states: “the FBI concluded, among other things, that although consistent with known efforts by Russia to interfere in the 2016 U.S. elections, much of the material in the Steele election reports, including allegations about Donald Trump and members of the Trump campaign relied upon in the Carter Page FISA applications, could not be corroborated; that certain allegations were inaccurate or inconsistent with information gathered by the Crossfire Hurricane team; and that the limited information that was corroborated related to time, location, and title information, much of which was publicly available.”

Plainly, the Steele dossier is discredited.

It’s the only way to keep up with news services that investigate, validate, and on occasion, retract.
