That’s exactly how I feel when debating gun control advocates and climate alarmists. They lack the depth of understanding to see just how wrong they are.

Of course you do!
FWIIW, I would note that you are just about the only party to these discussions that presents himself as some sort of expert – one with an unshakable belief in his own superior knowledge of very arcane matters. Exactly the sort of delusional self-congratulatory belief that D-K were studying and Cleese is referring to.

I’m not the one who makes unsupported assertions and then just demands everyone accept them because I say so.

Uh,… never mind, you wouldn’t see it.

“. . . because I say so.”
Ouch that would really sting if there were an ounce of truth to it. It doesn’t sting.
There are two kinds of statements in these forums – statements of opinions and statements of facts. I make plenty of both kind. You can like my opinions or not. When I state facts, they are facts. If people who are into alternative facts – such as most Trumpists – do no like the facts I have stated – too bad. If they think I am wrong they can try to prove how.

You do realize that their “alternative facts’ automatically make yours moot. Or is it mute?
