Actually, the majority of Americans just want DJT to go away; as in “. . . a galaxy far, far away.”

Mores the pity…..
If we had a truly “engaged” electorate we wouldn’t have an impeached President because we wouldn’t have a clueless, lawless, asshole, there in the first place.
IMHO.

Even if most people “just want this to go away” enough of those people understand that the only way for that to happen is for Trump to go away. By converting themselves into a de facto white nationalist party, the GOP is suffering the death of a thousand cuts. Impeachment is just one more. And, conducting a sham trial without witnesses will be another.

I didn’t watch the debate of the articles. I did listen to part of it during lunch. All I heard was the parroting of WH talking points from the right and discussions of the evidence from the left. I also heard some asinine comparison between Trump and Jesus. It was unbelievable that the GOP had NO DEFENSE of Trump’s actions, just that he was basically being politically persecuted. And, IMHO, deservedly so. Impeachment IS a political act, as defined in the Constitution. He abused his office and the evidence says so. You may not think so, but you are entitled to be wrong.

That’s probably true. Even laughing at the Democrats for their comical “masterpeaching” gets old.

The only laughing I have heard is AT the right and their complete and total failure to 1) defend Trump’s actions and 2) The idiocy that flows from the Oval Office.

There’s a remedy for that, if you want it.

Of course not everyone is engaged. Our electorate is one of the most apathetic in the world.
“The survey of 1,416 adults, released for Constitution Day (Sept. 17, 2014 in conjunction with the launch of the Civics Renewal Network, found that:

Considering, coming in at 4.4 million behind 3 other popular programs is probably not all that bad.

Well, not to worry, Northam and Herring have a significant part of the electorate VERY engaged.

They were already engaged. To say otherwise is to ignore the facts that 2A voters are ALWAYS engaged. And now the fear mongering of the VCDL and you is flailing cause your side lost.

Tell that to the breathless media that pumps this trash partisan joke over the networks. Yes, most people have long ago said enough, Democrats. You lost so give it up. Democrats stupidly think they still have leverage and keep digging the hole. Fine…

Well, I take heart in some polls… Fox maybe?
50% of those polled want Donald Trump to remain, or not be, removed from office.
70% want to hear witness testimony, specifically Bolton, Mulvaney, and the other two.
So, gotta figure somewhere north of 10% and south of 20% might be open to a change of mind on not removing him.

“A reminder that not everyone is engaged”
Worse, are those engaged who haven’t a clue.
“Read the transcript!”
“Have you read the transcript?”
“Uh no, but I trust Trump.”

You forgot to credit the sitting senators who said that.
