Results of the IG investigation into the origins of the Russia probe are now coming into view. If you cannot access this story here is the headline . . .

My guess is that the substance of the report is being leaked before its release to prevent AG Barr from screwing around with it as he did the Mueller report.

I am reminded of a pinball machine. Trump’s attorney shoots out the first ball, the IG. Before it scores much and slips past the flippers, he fires a second. That one is still bouncing around when a third ball is sent with assist from Graham.
Come to think of it, Republicans have been playing pinball since Clinton and the Starr investigation. Now that one took lots and lots of quarters, shot a myriad of balls and still did not even get one free game.
Trump played the “Birther Bonanza” machine. He “tilted” and had to give up.
Another favorite was the Benghazi Blowout”. Seven rounds and not enough points to just get extra balls, which the committee sorely needed to win.

My guess is that the leak doesn’t represent the substance of the report. Just as likely, it represents a pre-emptive “Nuremberg defense” for low-level officials who may wish to claim they were “just following orders” when they committed their crimes. There’s no way to know, without a tinfoil hat.
In any case, it is hard to see how AG Barr “screwed with” the Mueller report, since he made it public when he had no obligation to do so. That’s just more tinfoil.

You are entitled to any guess you care to make, no matter how lame or silly it might be. But it is obvious that you are still desperately clinging to the completely discredited misinformation that trying to stop the Russians from subverting our election was a “deep state” crime with poor little Donnie their hapless victim.

As for your “tinfoil” accusation, it is well understood by ANYBODY who is not a total ignoramus that AG Barr attempted to soften the political impact of the Mueller report by grossly LYING about what it said and did not say before it was released in redacted form. Per Robert Mueller . . .
AG Barr “did not fully capture the context, nature, and substance of this Office’s work and conclusions . . . There is now public confusion about critical aspects of the results of our investigation. This threatens to undermine a central purpose for which the Department appointed the Special Counsel: to assure full public confidence in the outcome of the investigations.”

In this instance, however, I am proud to be on the side of the angels, where the conspiracy theories you are spinning are easily debunked.
For example, Robert Mueller’s letter to Barr was published, with DOJ approval. No conspiracy there.

Two observations:
First: The final report had to come out eventually regardless of what anyone may think about Barr’s obligations.
Second: He gave his interpretation long in advance to give the regime plenty of time to repeat the mantra of “full exoneration on everything including obstruction”. A well thought out plan to repeat the lie so much it became either accepted or a big “Meh”.
Barr knew the obstruction charges were real, so he diluted them with a summary as well as time. Time is always a good defense in our country. The electorate has a very short attention span. (Which is why the Republicans have to bring up the Clintons every so often lest we forget about them.)
Barr may be Trump’s taxpayer funded personal lawyer, but he is still pretty devious…and smart.

My comment related to the deliberate distortion of the Mueller Report perpetrated by AG Barr before it was partially released. No conspiracy theory required. Just one partisan hack with no loyalty to the truth, the law or the Constitution.
But, go ahead. Debunk Robert Mueller’s statements about what Barr did. See the quote above. You said it would be easily done.

That’s a conspiracy theory, unless you are claiming the ability to read Barr’s mind, which, itself, is something conspiracy theorists often do.

Here is a bit of English for you . . .
“Conspiracy : a secret plan by a group to do something unlawful or harmful.”
The key word is group. You cannot have a conspiracy with yourself. I made no claim that Barr acted in a conspiracy with someone else when he chose to cover the President’s ass with his lies and distortions about the Mueller report.
