Another photo on the front page shows the Hampton Roads Metro Band playing aboard the USS Wisconsin. A caption says they are playing aboard the “carrier.” Who in Hampton Roads, other than the V-P editors, does not know that the USS Wisconsin is a battleship, not a carrier?

Your link has no photos that say “anchor”. The link just goes to the entire Wikipedia article about the Wisconsin.
What am I missing?

Copy the whole link and paste it into the URL bar. It should look like a 1944 photo.
To save you the trouble, there are two catapults with aircraft and a recovery crane… the difference between, oh say, the Essex and the Wisconsin shrinks a tad.
