The Trump appeal was anti-establishment as much as anything. And that included Republicans and Democrats.
Unfortunately for many, he has been as establishment as anyone. Just a more crude version.

They’re just getting cold feet. As he becomes less and less likely to win reelection, they’ll start abandoning ship in droves and try to act like they always knew he was reprehensible. Hopefully not too many people will fall for it.

Considering the number of vendors, suppliers, contractors and investors Trump has screwed, I would say that he has mastered the art. They can’t all have been crooks.
