Sure enough “The Wall” is a joke.

This reporting confirms why everybody with a lick of common sense views Trump’s signature project as a monumental boondoggle and waste of money. If you cannot read the article for some reason it documents the ease with which the newest, strongest parts of “The Wall” are being breached.

  1. Yeah, but Paul, it’s not illegal immigrants who are breaching “The Wall” but smugglers, and given another year of the Trump economy, we’re gonna need those black market drugs and goods to rebuild. MAGA!

    1. Here is a non-WAPO link for those who can’t penetrate a paywall with any kind of saw.

The impenetrable (according to the regime leader in his rallies) is steel with a concrete core. A few minutes with a Home Depot saw is enough.

But hey, a wall is a wall. He promised it and there it is. Nothing more to see here. Ten billion down, another trillion to go. Borrowed money so who cares. “Build that debt!” , “Build that debt!, “Yay, go Trump!”

      (My meds are kicking in…).

On to North Korea and his good pal Kim.

Nobody with a lick of common sense — including the experts cited in the WAPO link — ever believed the new border wall would be absolutely impregnable. To pretend otherwise is disingenuous.

  3. Reality is soooo inconvenient. The point is that ANY wall stretched along 1,954 miles is INEVITABLY going to porous. A porous wall is a boondoggle and a waste of money.

Maybe nobody really believed that the Wall would be impregnable but Don the Con sold it to the suckers as if it would be.

But less “porous” than air. THAT’s the real point. Also, since it is primarily drug smugglers and illegal border crossers who are cutting the fence, it strikes me as backwards to want to make their lives easier.

      1. It strikes ME as backwards to spend billions on something that we already know will not do much – if any – good. The alternative to the wall is not “air.” It is spending less money on something that will do a better job of securing the border.

Suit yourself. I don’t share your assumption that the wall “will not do much – if any – good.”

      3. Drug smugglers mostly use the ports of entry. Much easier.

This is a good time to recall that the regime could have had full funding a couple of years ago. All it would have taken was a little compromise and deal making on some minor issues of legal immigration. And that could have been tweaked later.

The wall and DACA were the biggies. But his extremist buddies wanted to humiliate and grab for everything and Trump went along.

      4. The purpose of any security device is not impregnability. The best system doesn’t stop them, but rather detects and counts them — where and how many — and they already had that with modern surveillance devices at 1/10 the cost.

If you bought the wall, you’re a sucker. P.T. said one every minute. He was wrong. Given the voting population, the age distribution, mortality rates, the number of votes cast, and the percentage that voted for Trump, calculates to one every 5 minutes.

  4. If ‘djt” was just a teeny bit smart he’d know that Former Mexican President Vicente Fox REALLY knew what he was saying when he repeated over and over that :

“We’re Not Paying For That F***ing Wall!”

He knew a wall would not get the job done and that

    1. Try scrolling down to a comment box, go a little past it. There should be a W in a circle, click on that and it should recognize you and the tool box will appear.

      If not, then I haven’t a clue.

Don or John can help better than me.
