Elizabeth Warren campaigning on lies, again

https://www.dailywire.com/news/warren-said-she-was-once-fired-for-being-pregnant-thats-not-what-she-said-before?%3Futm_source=twitter

After gaining advantage by falsely claiming to be of Native American Heritage, Fauxcahontas has been going around the country claiming to have been fired from her job teaching special needs children because she was ‘visibly pregnant,’ appealing to sentiments against male discrimination against working women. But a video has surfaced in which she explained her choice to leave teaching because she did not have the required education courses and did not want to take them.

She had been given an ‘Emergency Certificate’ allowing her to teach without the required courses for one year while she corrected the deficiency, but by the end of that year, she had decided to pursue other opportunities rather than return to college for the courses.

So, what will she claim next to garner sympathy?

  1. There is a new book out (Amazon has it) entitled “The Cult of Trump”.

It’s very well written and even offers some strategies on how to counter the “brainwashing effect” his lies and and rants invoke.

    I highly recommend it…

I’d still recommend reading the book….

Your reasoning is the same as the evangelicals who have sold their souls to Satan to get judges appointed that agree with them on the issues of women’s right to choose and LGBTQ rights. Not something to be bragging about.

And further proof that there is no such thing as a true Libertarian. Just closet Republicans who like to smoke a little weed and be serviced by prostitutes.

        2. The Republicans are next.

Democrats have to go first, to prevent a slide into socialism, but once they are a minority party representing only a few urban areas, it will be time to go after the GOP for it’s melding of church and state.

It wont be complete in my lifetime, but we Libertarians are diligently working to take over the world and then not bother you.

Has there ever been a conqueror in recorded history who took over the world, figuratively if not literally of course, and then not bothered anyone?

Libertarian politics may sound like utopia in its marketing, but it is ultimately run by humans.

The lust for power is so ingrained in any higher animal social order that to unilaterally declare a particular political philosophy as immune to that is really disingenuous.

          2. Don’t judge Libertarians by collectivist or theocratic standards.

We don’t want power to meddle in other people’s lives, we want power to prevent them from meddling in ours.

Libertarians are very well aware of the temptations of power, which is why we work to deny any faction power to do anything but defend the rights of the individual. How many times have I written that the way to prevent people from buying government power was to take away the power from government?

We really are the party of principle.

It does, of course, make fundraising difficult. “Donate to my campaign and when elected, I will ignore you.”

Libertarians – a party of principle.
Don’t hurt yourself twisting around to pat yourself on the back. But maybe try to contain the smug arrogance that claims “principle” is unique to the Libertarian Party. It isn’t.

The problem is not in having principles, it is what those principles are. And there are many very valid reasons to find Libertarian principles problematic. Anachronistic. Selfish. And unworkable. In other words, totally out of touch with modern inter-connected and inter-dependent world

          4. In other words, a Libertarian government would not let you steal property from its rightful owners, and that is not in line with YOUR principles, which do not recognize private property.

I will state for myself what my principles are and are not. Your statement that they do not include the recognition of a right to private property is grossly false.

With that said, the reality is that no rights are absolute and are limited by the legitimate rights of others. Even Libertarians admit as much since they do not oppose taxation for what THEY believe are “legitimate” government purposes.

  2. LOL!

You people think you have Biden killed off so now start rummaging around the web for dirt on President Warren.

And, of course, more “alternative facts.”

It has been very well documented that she gained no advantage whatsoever from ACCURATELY reporting her family’s genetic heritage on an obscure university form DECADES ago. I know science means nothing to Trumpkins because it can shed light on some of your phony “issues.” But the fact is that the DNA test she took to rebut Trump’s racist insults proved that – like many people living at the terminus of the Trail of Tears – her ancestry included native Americans. Her family’s stories of their ancestors that she learned at her mother’s knee were confirmed.

Still, I get it. Racists love having their hurt feelings pampered since so many of them are total losers because of all the disadvantages of being a white man. This dishonest meme is perfect to get them all indignant.

But hey, knock yourself out. Since you have no intelligent response to her popular ideas and fully fleshed plans, stick to name calling. It is about at the right intellectual level for Trump enthusiasts.

    1. Elizabeth Warren’s DNA test showed she is 1/1024 Native American, about the same as the average American,

      https://www.zerohedge.com/news/2018-10-15/elizabeth-warren-releases-dna-results-proving-she-part-native-american

She specifically claimed to be Cherokee, when speaking to a gathering of that tribe, but the DNA test only showed that some 10 generations or so back, some ancestor was Native American from somewhere in North or South America, might as easily be Inuit or Mayan.

Oh, and those ‘obscure universities’ where she sought special treatment based on her Native American status included the University of Pennsylvania and Harvard, where she was listed in the University Faculty as Native American as proof of the University’s efforts in diversity.

So, she lied about her heritage when it was to her advantage, and lied to women about being discriminated against for being pregnant, and those ‘popular ideas’ she campaigns on are lies too.

There is ZERO probability that the origins of the Russian collusion investigation and the Mueller process was criminal. And doubly so since we know that there is plenty of there, there. The Russians did indeed interfere in the election with the purpose of helping Trump.

As I said the other day, anyone who really and truly believes that Trump extorting Biden investigations was done in the pursuit of justice is a dope. Anyone who does not believe it but pretends that they do is – let’s say – a jerk.

Comey released internal FBI documents, through a friend, to the media for the admitted purpose of forcing an independent prosecutor, thereby using his position and access to place pressure on Congress and the AG. That in itself is criminal.

The obtaining of the Steele Dosier from foreign sources and its subsequent use to defraud the FISA Court, are also criminal.

How much more criminality will be disclosed by the IG and other DOJ investigations will be interesting in coming weeks.

      2. There are better, less partisan, explanations of the Warren/ Native American controversy. Including the misinterpretation of ancestral DNA data.

And whether she got an admissions advantage to Harvard is not been substantiated. That she is a brilliant woman and needed no preferential treatment is overlooked. If Harvard or any other school used her claim to bolster their own diversity is not her issue.

        https://www.factcheck.org/2018/10/the-facts-on-elizabeth-warrens-dna-test/

A good friend of mine was told all his life that he was of Polish descent. Even to the extent of seeking cultural heritage and, of course, being the butt of jokes.

About 3 years ago he took a DNA test. Lo and behold, very little, if any, Polish blood. Mostly Irish and Scandinavian.

Does that make him a liar and a fraud?

Bottom line, until the advent of DNA testing being affordable and accurate, family lore was the gold standard. And like all history, often subjective and full of inaccuracies.

On a scale of what matters, Warren’s claims of ancestry and pregnancy woes are really grasping at straws. Stack them up against Trump’s history, lies and insults and they fade into insignificance.

“Fauxahontas”? Really? Stooping to Trump is not your style. Or used to not be.

        1. ‘Faucahontas’ is from Limbaugh, not Trump, and it is brilliant satire.

She is as phony as Hillary, and that is an amazing accomplishment.

The “fired for being pregnant” lie alone should be disqualifying for any honest Democrat. There are no shades of grey there, it was an outright lie and an insult to every woman who has faced real discrimination. It is the equivalent of minstrel singing in blackface.

          1. Whoa.

            Here is Warren’s quote:

“By the end of the first year, I was visibly pregnant, and the principal did what principals did in those days,” she said. “Wish me luck and hire someone else for the job.”

There is nothing that says she was fired. She could very well have decided (she has said that she might find another career) to be a stay at home Mom and the principal wished her good luck. Besides, 50 years ago women did not often work through pregnancies.

If the best attack on Warren for president is her family lore about heritage and perhaps being encouraged or not to keep working through her pregnancy a 1/2 century ago then that might be why Limbaugh adopts the childish moniker adopted from the current president’s schoolyard insults.

Meanwhile her concerns about healthcare, education and consumer protections in the financial world might be a tad more important.

And I think even the Trump supporters could care less about Warren’s child bearing years and whether or not her parents believed they had Native American ancestors. They too are spending over $20,000/year for health insurance and can’t afford to send their kids to college. And the regime ain’t doing squat about either issue.

But suit yourself, of course. I’m sure President Warren won’t miss your vote.

          2. You need to watch Fox & Friends on demand.

This morning they played at least a half dozen clips from her campaign speeches in which she explicitly claimed she was fired because she was visibly pregnant, and even made the point that it was discriminatory.

They also showed the video of her interview in which she said it was her choice to not take the required teaching courses.

There was nothing vague about it. She flat out lied about being fired and why.

      3. “Obscure” referred to the forms. Not the University. As the holder of a Masters Degree from Harvard I am very much aware that it is not obscure.

You have quoted again a highly partisan source who is distorting the science. The test in question does not yield such a fraction or exactly how far back the contribution to her DNA was made.

        https://www.factcheck.org/2018/10/the-facts-on-elizabeth-warrens-dna-test/

As for her getting some advantage for having ticked that box about her ancestry, there is ZERO evidence of her ever gotten any.

  3. “have Biden killed off”

Joe has certainly done himself no favors on his Ukraine interaction, but fortunately the Whistleblower Complaint is being substantiated by emerging facts to the extent that it won’t matter.

Abuse of power and violation of Campaign Finance laws are a proven fact and will be hard to refute given trump’s own confessions.

The “base”,as we see here, will continue to grasp at straws as they attempt to distract and deflect…

    1. That President Trump has asked other countries, Australia, Italy, the Ukraine, and others, for assistance in determining if there was criminal interference in the lead-up the the Mueller probe, and tangentally, corruption by Biden and other Obama/Clinton allies connected with it is pretty much certain.

The question is whether that is unlawful campaign activity or a proper concern as the nation’s chief law enforcement officer. The case to be made on those will hinge largely on the results of two ongoing DOJ investigations.

Eventually, that determination, should the House vote to impeach, will be made by the Senate.

      The suspense is palpable.

        1. I think Trump has taken the “I’m not hiding anything” approach.

Sort of like a mugger telling police ahead of time that he’s going downtown to rob some people.

Then in court his defense is that he told everyone what he was going to do. It wasn’t like he was being sneaky or anything.

        2. You are conflating purpose and outcome.

Yes, exposing the criminality of Biden’s family deals overseas will hurt his chances as Trump’s potential opponent, but that does not prove purpose. Rooting out corruption found in the course of investigating Ukrainian meddling in the 2016 election of Hillary’s behalf is the President’s duty, whether it benefits him or not.

          1. Thanks for the video.

I don’t agree with FOX that she was casting herself as a victim, but rather using the tale to say how far women have gotten in the 50 years since that teaching gig. She probably would have been replaced as the pregnancy progressed.

Was she wrong? Right now I would say she is.

Is it politically significant? Probably not.

I know, wrong is wrong. If that is the key issue for the GOP, however, she’s a shoe in.

Yet, how did Trump get away with lying about paying campaign hush money to pornstars? Or 4000 terrorists apprehended at the Mexican border? Or his untold number of other lies.

I guess his standards are so low there is no shame.

Hers should be higher. We’ll see what she says in the coming weeks.
