The online version attempts, one again, to include the Editorial Cartoon on the Opinion Page. Would not load. Would anyone else like to try and see if it is my computer or the Pilot’s?

I can’t remember the last time I saw an editorial cartoon online.

But I don’t care enough anymore to send them the feedback.

RE: “I can’t remember the last time I saw an editorial cartoon online.”
Apparently, the new layout intends to treat the daily cartoon as a content object on a level with an editorial or a commentary piece. The last two cartoons have appeared in the list of titles for the Opinion & Commentary section:

But the links don’t work.
It looks to me like the Pilot rushed to publication with the new layout before the design and testing were completed. Very sloppy work. One wonders what their priorities were.

Priority 1: Close the Comments section? Just a thought.

The “linked page” won’t load the comic, but the thumbnail can be seen on the “opinion & commentary” page, and really, without the comment posting anymore, why do you need to see it enlarged?
BUT, if you MUST view it, hover over the thumbnail, right mouse button, select “view image”.

I am still old school. I saw it in the print edition.

The new Pilot online edition is a total mess. Ads everywhere, stories that are days old still listed in main sections. On the days I don’t get the print edition, Mondays and Tuesdays, I download the exact digital version off the paper. The pdf is easy to read, enlarge, skim through, etc.
