Sounds smart because it is smart. Now that there is a real control on Trump’s behavior – Democrats controlling the House – the Piece of Shit and lamest of lame ducks ever is not worth the Sturm und Drang of an Impeachment so far into his only term and one that will fail in the Senate. Every day he stays in office is another bad day for the GOP and she knows it. Once again Nancy Pelosi shows that she is a leader. She will take the party with her on this, mark my words.

I am glad to accept your testimony that you like Mr. Trump and how he conducts himself as President. I urge you to try to understand that your admiration is not shared by a decisive majority of your fellow citizens.
It is almost as if Trump is making himself obnoxious as an anti-impeachment shield. He now is leading the GOP to stand for massive cuts in Medicare and massive increases in military waste both of which are very unpopular ideas.

Why should you care about that? Two reasons come immediately to mind . . .
To avoid the inevitable personal disappointment that will occur if you delude yourself into thinking that your admiration is widely shared and that Trump will be returned to office.
More importantly, when you accept that your views about Trump are not only not shared but are anathema to a majority of other people it should give you pause and lead to some reflection on why such a dichotomy. What do they know that you don’t? Have you been duped? These are questions you should seriously think about
