The Northam Rescue is in full swing today at the Pilot. Demands for Northam, Fairfax and Herring’s resignations may not be warranted, but would any of them have been elected if the charges against them had come out in the weeks before the election?
The GOP Opposition Research really dropped the ball last election.

I don’t think anyone expected a yearbook page with a man in blackface makeup drinking a beer with a KKK in costume (“can’t we all get along” is the obvious message) would be such a big deal from 35 years ago. Especially when it is now obvious that neither was Northam.
Herrings was just an admission by him that he was dressing up as a favorite musician. No photos.
Fairfax? He said/she said.
Bottom line I think Northam is safe now. Some Democrats may have gotten outraged, but now that a remote threat of Kirk Cox becoming governor is possible, I think that suddenly there will be another shiny object over there…or here.

Even what he admits is unacceptable.
There is no excuse to ever bully or intimidate a woman into a blow job. If it isn’t offered without pressure then it is wrong.
