  1. Rubin warns that President Trump’s base might fray due to the shutdown, but in her liberal bubble she does not understand that the one thing that could come between Trump and his base is to cave in to Pelosi.

  2. You have wonder why propagandists like Rubin keep investing in the proposition that Donald Trump is somehow an illegitimate president. They must think something big is about to happen any minute now. Somehing massive that will prove them right, once and for all. Something of great social and political import — like a kid in a MAGA hat who smiles at an Indian.
