You buy your EV I’ll buy my ICE.

The House passed a bipartisan bill to forbid California or any other state from banning ICE cars. Even the Secretary of Transportation learned an ugly lesson while trying to sell the EV concept with an EV road trip dog and pony show that left him with nothing but egg all over his face. Reason? Because the charging infrastructure is far from there, too costly and too time consuming. It is also illegal to ban market choice to promote an agenda.

Will the Senate see the light? Will Biden? Doubt it but remember Va tethered our transportation policy to CA while under Democrat control so those in favor of this nonsense should prepare to smile with their thumb up their butt while waiting hours to “gas” up at largely nonfunctional EV charging stations…if you can find one.

Maybe so. At the same time I tend to think that if a state like California wants to make foolish governing decisions, it’s probably best to let them.

I do not believe that there is an environmental crisis that outlawing ICEs can solve, but there’s no convincing others to share in my opinion.

  2. To clarify, it was the Energy Secretary who got egg all over her face in her 4 day EV road trip that proved EVs are completely unreliable for anything outside of urban travel because the infrastructure is in an infantile state at best.
