So a Stanford study says charging EVs at home overnight will have a signigicantly negative impact on the electric grid. I thought that was the cheap allure of EVs we keep hearing about. The study says to charge at public stations or at work. Public stations are costly and time consuming and I think employers will take issue with paying everyone’s recharges. What’s an EV owner to do?
RE: “What’s an EV owner to do?”
Government apparently has decided to create an all-electric future, consequences be damned. I wonder if anyone will complain as people begin to experience the inconveniences.

Feeder circuits to most subdivisions will not support more than 25% of homes charging an EV at the same time, and worse, most parking garages will not support a concentration of EV’s parked in the same area due to their greater weight.
Someone has not done their math in the rush to cram EV’s down our throats.
