It’s fine that Trump’s only interaction since transition was at Bush’s funeral and it was “hello” and “Good Bye.” But there is a book I would recommend to anyone who hasn’t read it yet.

Nancy Gibbs and Michael Duffy’s “THE PRESIDENT’S CLUB – Inside the World’s Most Exclusive Fraternity”. A great read that shows how Presidents back to Truman have actually discussed the important issues and duties involved as POTUS. Also talks about how former POTUS’s (or is that POTI) worked on things together after they were out office. The one that comes to mind is how Bush I and Clinton worked together on a lot of humanitarian issues after both left office. And they were asked by Bush II to work together in Africa. An overall fascinating read.

I understand that a lot of people voted for Trump to be a disrupter and because he wasn’t a “politician”. But seeing how most other former Presidents of the last half of the 20th century came together, it might behoove him to think about them in ways other than disdainfully. Or dishonestly.

IMHO, of course.
