It is incredibly sad that the bar has gotten this low.
Somehow acting Presidential is news…I guess for trump it is noteworthy.

“So a general gets on, sent obviously by Obama, and he said, ‘Mr. Trump doesn’t understand. He knows nothing about defense.’ I know more about offense and defense than they will ever understand, believe me. Believe me. Than they will ever understand. Than they will ever understand.” — July 2016
“There is nobody who understands the horror of nuclear [war] more than me.” — June 2016

I actually cheer Trump for visiting with the troops. It is the right thing to do when possible. However, for him to involve himself by interfering in the military justice system is never the right thing to do unless there is real evidence exonerating the accused. The Gallagher incident is something that he should have never gotten involved in. – IMHO The statements released by the Times tells the real story of what happened on the ground.

“Let’s see what the Never Trumpers do with it . . .”
Even a blind pig finds a truffle now and then.
Seriously, this minor example of Trump doing something not totally bonkers for a change is infinitesimal in comparison with his foolish and destructive meddling in military justice on behalf of a murderous psychopath turned over to account by fellow warriors.

You mean delusional TDS sufferers give each other badges of honor and pat each other on the back? Wow, who would have thought?

An “us” against “them” mentality can really close a mind and warp a perspective.
As a small “c” conservative who votes as an Independent I find the current Administration anathema to the current well being and future of our Country, but I think “us” as “we” even when I disagree.
