Finally, Clinton email investigation found…not much.

I guess the Clinton email saga can finally enter the dustbin of history.

It’ll still be Trump rally fuel, but he needs something to flesh out his Fidel style interminable speeches. “Trump Si! Clinton No!”

  1. The 8 congressional (GOP led, I might add) into Benghazi made no difference to Trumpsters. There will be claims of “deep state” protection of Clinton. To which I say “Horse Feathers!”

Another nothing burger that will never go away, no matter how many times it is proven false.

    1. “Horse Feathers” indeed.

The degree of “nothing” found and effort spent finding it are another GOP failure.

However, it will become nothing more that a footnote in the corruption scandal unfolding before us today.

Doesn’t seem likely. The report serves a useful purpose in documenting the misuse of the server. Previously, we had only Jim Comey’s press release as evidence of that.

Despite Comey’s revelations, Clinton supporters claimed she did nothing wrong. It just became a little more difficult to maintain that fantasy.

    1. “A U.S. State Department investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state has found no evidence of deliberate mishandling of classified information by department employees.”

Yes, apparently she and some others were a bit sloppy. But “lock her up” should be put to rest as Trump’s own state department findings did not find deliberate misuse.

But we can rely on Trump rehashing the election for the foreseeable future. Even three years later.

      It’s what he does.

      1. With the Clintons, you have to be careful not to be distracted by the scandal they want you to follow and forget the larger scandal that really hurts them.

Classified information finding its way onto her private server is not the real scandal.

The real scandal is that she used a private server so that her official correspondence as Sect of State was under her control, and not the national archives, so that she could delete anything untoward. Those records belonged to us, not her, and we will never know what she successfully destroyed that should be part of the public record.

        1. Understand.

So let’s go to the Ukraine which is “known” to be a depository for all things Democratic. Maybe some more anti-tank weapons will free up a server hunting party.

As a favor , though. No quid for any kind of pro.

I love the way sarcasm can make a point and also make the other person’s comment look ridiculous…

            A most excellent two-fer.

          2. How are the two things related?

Are you claiming that what you SUSPECT might have happened between Trump and the Ukrainians somehow erases Hillary’s criminal destruction of pubic records?

  3. So start a petition to prosecute Clinton. Trumps DOJ has been around for 3 years now. And nothing has been done.

As revenge minded as Trump seems to be, I imagine he’d want retribution for her getting the popular vote. Instead, he will settle for “lock her up” chants from his fan base.

As far as suspecting that Trump was using Congressionally approved money for Ukraine to get political favors for himself, that was put to bed with the transcript and Mulvaney’s press conference.

That is, there is no “suspecting”, it happened.

But the fans don’t give a crap how crooked our president was and is, so long as he entertains them at the rallies.

    IMHO, of course.

  4. ‘Suspect’ was a nice way to say delusion.

Mulvaney was quite specific that the aid was made conditional on cooperation with an investigation into foreign influence in the 2016 election, the same purpose as the Mueller investigation, just looking into other sources of interference. How is that a political favor for Trump?

And it is entirely normal for aid to be conditioned on such cooperation.

What is amazing is that you think this is criminal but it was perfectly OK for Obama/Biden to withhold aid to get a prosecutor fired.

  5. Congress had already approved the money for Ukraine. Can a president decide unilaterally to override that?
Besides, Biden investigation was part of the request per the transcript.

The IMF was threatening to withhold $40 billion in loan guarantees to clean up corruption in Ukraine. Our billion was part of the same effort.

  6. Having worked with classified information, the lawful handling of it and the constant training for proper handling of it for almost 40 years, I can say without a shadow of a doubt… BALONEY. What Clinton did is a blatant violation of the law. No question!!!

  7. To say further, there is something seriously amiss with this story. I suspect spin of the facts to support Clinton innocence. It appears to claim her employees only did what the boss, Clinton, said to do and did not actually exonerate Clinton herself but makes that insinuation.

  8. You “suspect” and say it “appears” to be this and that.

    Opinion noted.

Now do you have some hard facts that dispute the story?

“A U.S. State Department investigation of Hillary Clinton’s use of a private email server while she was secretary of state has found no evidence of deliberate mishandling of classified information by department employees.”

Whose State Department has it been for almost 3 years now? Run by whose hand picked, carefully vetted people?
And even the former State Department investigated her and announced it twice so she could lose the election.

That is why I suggested the case is put to rest.
