  1. Ouch….

However, the point they’re attempting to make is valid.

Decade by decade as I spoke publicly I had to dummy down and make more current any historical references I chose to use to make a point.

By 2010 i gave up on any reference earlier than 1980…..

  2. While reading the editorial it occured to me to wonder, How much is ignorance of civics actually caused by media?

Consider, for example, NYT’s recent allegations against Justice Kavanaugh. Or CNN’s two-year saga pretending the president might be impeachable over “Russiagate.”

If you encourage people to think wrongly about our civic institutions, it shouldn’t be surprising when they don’t think rightly about them.

        1. The editorial was calling for better civics education in our schools. That was the point of the piece. Your contrarian nature is disturbing and could be cause for a mental health evaluation.

That’s out of line. If you can’t be civil, please take your bad behavior somewhere else.

  3. It’s Wednesday morning; the errors have not been corrected.

Very few people read The Pilot anymore, and those of us who do don’t care enough to alert the staff about mistakes like these. A sad side effect of the inability to comment online.
