Tidewater News and Opinion Forum
A place for civil discussion of the events of the day for Tidewater residents without the limitations imposed by media forums.
What an extraordinarily silly commentary. Gabriele’s own examples show that medieval walls worked, but he argues that they didn’t.
Consider his closing statement: “real medieval walls may have closed temporarily to ward off the uncertainty of a world without electric light, but they always reopened the following morning to welcome in those who sought refuge.”
Translated, this statement says “real medieval walls served a purpose that people of the time considered useful and effective.”
Instead of being different from the proposed border wall, medieval walls were the same.
Gabriel — and The Pilot/WAPO — would have us believe that our own common sense is nonsensical.
Gimme a break.

Maybe we can agree on one point – the idea that we need a concrete border wall is medieval.

Sorry. I don’t agree with that.

Why am I not surprised that you find a medieval idea not to be medieval? Same old GCO eh Mr. Roberts.

Your logic escapes me, but do you have something to say besides shit posting?
