Nothing new here. Just the same proposals that have already failed to make any difference in other States.
The defining of any firearm capable of holding a magazine with more than 10 round capacity as an assault weapon would include practically all modern semi-automatic handguns using double-stack magazines and most .22 caliber rifles using tubular magazines.
But it would not include a 5 shot semi-automatic or pump shotgun and a shoulder bag of shotshells, which, since the magazine of the shotgun can be replenished without having to remove it to reload, limits capacity without stopping to reload only to the amount of ammunition the person can carry.
These so-called gun safety measures are the product of policy made by those most ignorant on the topic.
