That Carlson, what a kidder…Chansley footage was last 4 minutes in Capitol.

“The televised footage shows Chansley’s movements only from approximately 2:56 p.m. to 3:00 p.m,” prosecutors said in a 10-page court filing connected to the seditious conspiracy trial of five Proud Boys leaders, including Dominic Pezzola, who used a riot shield to initiate the breach of the Capitol.l

“Prior to that time, Chansley had, amongst other acts, breached a police line at 2:09 p.m. with the mob, entered the Capitol less than one minute behind Pezzola during the initial breach of the building, and faced off with members of the U.S. Capitol Police for more than thirty minutes in front of the Senate Chamber doors while elected officials, including the Vice President of the United States, were fleeing from the chamber,” they continued.”

“Chansley’s allies say the footage aired by Carlson might have changed the case against him. In Sunday’s filing, however, the Justice Department contended that it had shipped all but 10 seconds of the footage to Chansley’s attorney by Sept. 24, 2021 — about three weeks after Chansley pleaded guilty but more than a month before his sentencing.”

Oh those guys at FOX, they keep us smiling.

So, it is true. The Shaman’s lawyer didn’t receive the exculpatory evidence in a timely manner. He didn’t get a fair trial.

    1. He pleaded guilty, there would be no trial. If there had been a trial, no reason his lawyer wouldn’t get the video before the trial.

He knows what he did, witnesses were abundant, and massive amounts of corroborating evidence in other videos. The 4 minutes of him being escorted would not override the other 56 Carlson edited out.

Nope. Discovery is a pre-trial requirement. The shaman might not have pleaded guilty had his defense lawyer been in possession of the exculpatory information. The shaman was railroaded by an unethical government prosecutor.

        1. What exculpatory evidence? The first 56 minutes of his breaching right behind PB thugs and joining in the mayhem?

That is what would be entered into evidence , not just the last 4 minutes. A jury might not have been very sympathetic. His lawyers knew that.

The video Tucker Carlson made an issue of. Politico reports it was delivered late to the defense, and was missing 10 seconds of footage.

          1. It was delivered before sentencing and it problems didn’t help him with all mayhem before he was escorted out.

FYI Carlson is a known and self admitted liar. When the lawsuits from Dominion came he probably wet his pants

          2. RE: “What about the 56 minutes? Sorry, you are not making sense, to me at least.”

The 56 minutes don’t matter if the prosecution violated the rules of discovery.

          3. Did they? Do you know this for a fact.

Exculpatory evidence is the key, not just any old video. That video is hardly exculpatory. Do you the other evidence against him?

No, he isn’t. Now YOU are the one who is lying.

            This is all old news.

And now we know he fed the fraud lies despite saying he didn’t believe the crazy stories.

I know what Politico is reporting, because you brought it to our attention.

There was no trial, so no pre-trial discovery.

            I’m done with the nonsense.

This is pure compassion for your obvious confusion.

Not the same as being a liar. Your accusations are irresponsible.

I looked at your two articles.

You are making the argument that Carlson’s broadcast of the shaman video is somehow fraudulent and in evidence you cite unrelated criticisms of his work that in context aren’t even applicable to the shaman story.

What do you expect to be called when you misrepresent reality?

I told you Carlson was an admitted liar. He said so himself.

Wrong. There was no trial because the shaman took the guilty plea. Discovery was still a requirement.

  2. It’s interesting that the prosecution didn’t bring up the footage of Jacob Chansley breaking into the Capitol during the seditious conspiracy trial. They must be worried that the public will think that he was just a normal person who just happened to be there during a chaotic moment.
