Fedsurrection, anyone?

I’m responding to all the smug caterwauling seen on this site.

Roger Kimball is super-smart culture pundit. He says the so-called Jan. 6 attack was probably staged by the FBI (Federal Bureau of Insurrections). Whoops.

That’s what I suspected the first day. No matter what video you looked at, you see cops in retreat, cops opening doors, cops removing barriers. What’s a scenario that could explain all that?

Furthermore, I know the Trump voters. They are ordinary people, middle-class and polite. They would not do anything disrespectful at a national monument. The freaks at the Capitol were probably Antifa paid by George Soros.

The people dressed weirdly, the people wrestling with each other, the people acting as if they are in a staged event, well, you know who they are.

I’m guessing that Nancy Pelosi has a lot of bad dreams these days.

  1. Paywalled

But FWIW, I think there were some loonytoons there who thought they could delay the process, but not even 1 in 10,000.

There were a lot of good people who followed the crowd in led by FBI and Metro police provocateurs through doors and gates held open by the police. Note that they stayed between the ropes, didn’t damage anything, and were just caught up in the moment.

Lumping them all together is just political theater by desperate Democrats trying to distract the public from the train wreck resulting from their slim, and transient, majority

    1. Only 1 in 10,000 thought they could “Stop the Steal” by attacking the Congress and hanging Mike Pence?

Uh, where did you get that figure? The usual place?

Approximately 1,000 of these mugs actually entered the Capitol. By your math, and let’s round up, only ONE of them was bent on overturning the election. Yeah, that makes sense.

        1. You are just making it worse. Just admit your “estimate” is hyperbolic bullshit.

The original “rally” was held in Freedom Plaza with a maximum capacity of 20,000. Your math says that in the final analysis, the people who stormed into the Capital included just TWO who thought they could overturn the election. Maybe the two who brought pipe bombs?

    2. Transient majority?

How many times has a Republican won the popular vote for President in the last three decades? That would be once. Your hero lost it twice and in 2020 he lost it BIGLY. Republicans are barely clinging to a place at the table due to the formal and informal Gerrymandering in our system that undermines the will of the people. You can deny that until you turn blue but before you do, check the polling on all those “socialist” proposals you people hate.

      Train wreck?
What do you think you are referring to? President Biden inherited yet another complete mess from the Republicans and has done well setting things right. And, unlike your hero, there is no serious doubt where his loyalties lie.

      1) Similar statement to what was said about Charlottesville. Sorry, but khaki dressed torchbearers crying “Jews will not replace us!’ and “Blood and soil!’ are NOT good people. And your ratio is way out of whack. There were about 10,000 folks calling to “Stop the Steal” (BIG FREAKIIN’ LIE!!!) and more than 400 of them are being tried for ILLEGAL attempts to delay the process.

      2) NO actual PROOF of FBI and MPD LEADING anything, except the efforts to keep the number of loony’s out of the Capitol that were threatening to KILL the sitting VP and any member of COngress they came across. And if they were just there for a tour, why weren’t the GOP members of Congress, who were complicit in the efforts to overturn a free, fair and TRANSPARENT election, in the halls to greet them?

The raging BULLSHIT of this post is a dangerous threat to the democratic process, that you yourself have questioned since I’ve known you.

Maybe you can explain WTF you are talking about?

And for the record, there are various degrees of “fascism.” So, you can be a fascist, hate democracy, and yet not be for the extermination of non-whites.

          1. Really? Can you show me any evidence of Neo-Nazis at the Jan. 6 rally?

Was anyone chanting Blood and Soil?

There was no reason to refer the Neo-Nazis’ who appropriated the Charlottesville rally other than to smear people he doesn’t like as Nazis.

          2. Well, thanks for explaining your “logic.”

Adam responded to your choice of words – “good people” – for these terrorists but reminding us how your Dear Leader used that same expression to refer to the “European civilization chauvinists” who descended on Charlottesville. His point was valid. Take offense all you want. Doing so says so much more about you than it does about Adam.

There is PLENTY of evidence of Nazis being all over that assault on the Congress. It took me about 15 seconds to find this story in the NY Post – A Murdoch publication so it must be true.

        2. I did not call people I don’t like a Nazi. That is the rhetoric of those who believe that things like vaccine mandates are akin to the holocaust.

I compared the idiocy of dangerous Charlottesville with the dangerous idiocy of Jan 6th. Two events that were not linked in any way except by right wing, anti-democratic rhetoric that has become scraily obvious to ANYONE with a brain.

Epoch Times is behind a paywall for me, but I’m open to the deep state false flag theory about Jan. 6. The evidence is thin, but a false flag is at least as plausible as a coup d’état.

The Russian collusion hoax turned out to be false flag. Why shouldn’t Jan. 6?

That is the understatement of the year.

    1. Thanks for the alternative link, Mr. Price.

Reading the piece, I see Kimball focuses on the riddle of Ray Epps, who was known to the FBI, who clearly incited events on Jan. 6 (you can find videos of him on YouTube), and who was never indicted for his actions.

      The question is, Why not?

Until the FBI provides a satisfactory answer, speculation that Epps was working for the FBI or some other agency will continue.

Other unanswered questions concern the actions of the capitol police, for whom Nancy Pelosi was responsible.

There was no “insurrection” that day.

Question: How incredibly weak-minded, gullible, and/or dishonest do you have to be to repeat “alternative facts” that have been debunked over and over again?

        Answer: Very

In this case, you choose to repeat the LIE that Nancy Pelosi was responsible for the Capitol Police. I could just as easily say that Mitch McConnell was responsible for the Capitol police that day. After all, the Senate is the Upper House and he ran it. But I won’t do that. Unlike you people, I do repeat known LIES to make my points.

No, you couldn’t. The duties of the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate and the Sergeant at Arms of the House are not the same. It was the Sergeant at Arms of the House — under direction of the Speaker of the House — who was responsible for Capitol security on Jan. 6.

            Pure Bullshit.
You are either lying deliberately or you have been duped. Again.

The Capitol Police are under the direction of the Capitol Police Board consisting of . . .
            1. Sergeant-at-arms of the House
            2. Sergeant-at-arms of the Senate
            3. Architect of the Capitol, and
            4. The Chief of the Capitol Police.

            https://www.uscp.gov/the-department/oversight

That Nancy Pelosi bears responsibility for how they conduct themselves is a bald-faced LIE.

Your constant repeating of thoroughly debunked bullshit is a clear sign of a dishonest and/or lazy intellect. With Google readily available and easy to use there is NO EXCUSE for all the falsehoods you people wallow in.

In this case, Wikipedia is the source I consulted before posting. Here is the relevant part:

“As the chief law enforcement officer of the House, the Sergeant at Arms is responsible for security in the House wing of the United States Capitol, the House office buildings, and on adjacent grounds. Under the direction of the Speaker of the House or other presiding officer, the Sergeant at Arms plays an integral role in maintaining order and decorum in the House chamber.

“The Sergeant at Arms is also responsible for ensuring the safety and security of members of Congress, the congressional staff, visiting dignitaries, and tourists. Towards this end, the Sergeant at Arms works in concert with the Senate Sergeant at Arms and the Architect of the Capitol. These three officials, along with the Chief of the Capitol Police ex officio, comprise the Capitol Police Board.”

At Wikipedia you can also look up the duties of the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate. Other than being a member of the Capitol Police Board, the Senate Sergeant at Arms has few security duties.

          3. Laughable!

Are you dimwitted or just pretending to be dimwitted instead of acknowledging your “errors?”

According to YOUR source the Sergeant-at-arms (“SAA”) of the House works at the direction of the Speaker OR WHOEVER IS PRESIDING ONLY with respect to “maintaining order and decorum in the House chamber.” THAT decorum role is NOT about the security of the Congress or defense from terrorists. In that regard the House SAA shares responsibility with the Senate SAA and the Capitol Police Board. As YOUR source makes clear.

Did you confuse “decorum in the Chamber” – where the presiding officer might give the SAA instructions – with security of the building deliberately? I think that yes, you did.

I do not need to look up in Wikipedia for the duties of the Senate Seargeant at arms. Here is their charter:

            https://www.senate.gov/reference/office/sergeant_at_arms.htm

The Senate SAA DOES have the SAME security role as the HOUSE SAA. Read it for yourself: “As chief law enforcement officer of the Senate, the Sergeant at Arms is charged with maintaining security in the Capitol and all Senate buildings, as well as protection of the members themselves.”

Nancy Pelosi is NOT responsible for the Capitol Police Board. Any more than Mitch McConnell was. The story that she was responsible for the police and has something to hide is a pack of LIES.

The way I read it, the Sergeant at Arms of the Senate plays only a support role in this responsibility by virtue of being part of the Capitol Police Board.

I have provided you with chapter and verse demonstrating beyond ANY doubt that the story of Nancy Pelosi being responsible for the security of the Capitol is a LIE. Neither she nor ANY member of Congress is in the chain of command of the Capitol Police. But you are constitutionally unable to simply admit that you were quite wrong to spread that LIE.

  4. Read his bio. Kimball is a prestigious, accomplished intellectual and author. I’m sure he gave much thought to working out his comments on such a complex subject. But the trolls, as I categorize them, do not debate his points. They just caterwaul in all directions, trying desperately to protect the official narrative, but sounding more and more like the Germans retreating from Stalingrad circa1943.

A “point” so removed from any possible reality as to be symptomatic of deep psychosis. As I said at the outset, get some help.
