Usually “I want to focus on my family” is code for “I’ve been a naughty boy and need to suck up to the Mrs for a while so she doesn’t make it public”. You know Democrats have a big problem with keeping it in their pants and then want to keep it in the family.

One way idiocy. Jim Jordan had no problem with others keeping it in their pants with his wrestlers at THE OSU. Matt Gaetz paid for “it” with minors. There are many other instances of Republicans getting their hands, or other parts, caught somewhere they ought not to be. The idea that only Democrats are guilty of infidelity is ludicrous.

Plus, if you were being completely honest about it, you would have noted this paragraph in the story:
“The Democratic delegate’s resignation comes after he announced Tuesday that he and his wife are expecting their first child. Jones, 32, said in an announcement via a public letter he’s ready to make fatherhood “the highest priority” in his life.”
Of course, those who demean the other party while looking away form the foibles of the one they support, normally say stupid stuff like your comment.

Bobrsmith: You may be on to something. I live in Norfolk and happened to see him out one night with a woman who was not his wife. My impression was that they were … more than friends.

So true! The Republicans – the party of family values – NEVER have sex scandals.

He’s regrouping after failing to win the AG nomination. I live in his district and it didn’t seem like he campaigned for his seat at all–just put all his eggs in the AG basket. He’s a young striver; not satisfied with continuing to be a lowly state rep.

He didn’t have to campaign. Did you see who was running against him?

He didn’t have to campaign for his GA seat; he challenged the incumbent Attorney General, which required an actual campaign.

You’re half right. He primaried Herring and lost. In the general election for the state delegate seat, he soundly defeated Hahns Copeland, a joke of a candidate.

That is what I was saying. The AG primary campaign had to be worked at; the GA campaign, not so much.
