Now They Are Saying That The Republican Party Is The #1 “National Security Threat To The United States Of America”

Source: The Economic Collapse.

I agree with the writer that it is profoundly irresponsible to describe one’s political opponents as a “national security threat.” I recommend that people who wish to be considered sane avoid doing so.

  1. “I recommend that people who wish to be considered sane avoid doing so.”

    Good advice.

So people like Trump who says ad nauseum that the Democrats are out to destroy the country should not be considered sane. I agree with that too.

      1. Foolish how?

Trump is not some obscure commentator – he was – at that time – President of the United States. His main campaign argument was that democrats are enemies of our country. How does that not fit with your admonition?

What might be “foolish” is your leading with your chin with this post?

Because Trump’s comments are not objectively comparable to Miles Taylor’s, and even if they were, they wouldn’ justify Taylor’s irresponsibility.

The foolishness of your comment is that you gain nothing in making it.

          1. Laughable! You cannot spin this away. Trump is by far the worst offender when it comes to accusing people of being enemies of the country. According to you, he is not to be considered sane.

And you are clearly correct. Such language is deranged. The Russians saw it. Anyone who is not a cultist can see it too – He ain’t right in the head.

And by the way, ANYBODY – Republican or Democrat – who encourages, participates in, condones or minimizes a violent attack on the Congress is, in fact, an enemy of our country and should be dealt with as such.

Nope. According to me, calling one’s political opponents a national security threat is irrational. Trump never did that, but Miles Taylor did.

          3. Two points

You can try, but you cannot deny. Dr. Semantics can’t help you weasel out of what you said.

If your “political opponents” threaten and carry out political violence it is irrational to NOT see them as a national security threat.

  2. After 6 years of calling Democrats the “enemy” of the people we now get this incredible gaslight.

Like you link asserts, Al Qaeda and ISIS are the enemy. And those who tried to “hang Mike Pence”.

I guess it fits with the “tourists” in the Capitol.

What “gaslight” are you referring to? Miles Taylor is on the record calling Republicans a national security threat. If anything, Democrats and never Trumpers are the gaslighters here.

      1. And having the president label most of the nation, media, Democratic pols as “enemies of the people” is better than “national security threat”? Our enemies are by definition national security threats.

Come on, you are joshin’, right? Of course you are.

Oh, the ex-prez did this labeling for 4, 5 or 6 years, give and take. Your foil said it once.

  3. While I don’t consider Democrats a “national security threat”, they are definitely hell bent on reducing our nation to third world status, bankruptcy, over population, Venezualian socialist poverty and the laughing stock of the world.

    1. I suggest you forget about Venezuela and open your eyes to Socially Democratic counties in Europe. Corrupt socialism as in places like Venezuela and Cuba are NOT the goal. Denmark and several other Western European countries are.

Quit watching the fear porn put out by right wing media and pay attention to the countries that have similar values to the good ol’ US of A.`

    1. Kamala Harris is YOUR Vice President too. Nobody is trying to “off” her.

This story and your comments are what is weird. Either the timing of her hospital Walter Reed visit is a coincidence OR was caused by exposure to the virus. Either way – so what?

Republicans who refuse to get vaccinated are a threat – mainly to themselves. Tough way for Democrats to take over close states but nobody can stop people intent on self-destruction to honor Dear Leader. Buh Bye!

      1. Trump won FL by 370,000 votes out of a smidgen over 11 million votes. If this new surge sickens or kills the Republican holdouts we may have a blue state.

But the GOP is pretty slick. They will blame the deaths on Biden because he didn’t get the vaccinations he wanted.

I wonder, though, if the Republican voters are lining up thousands of COVID casualties for voting. Like they did in PA and OH.
