Koko Taylor – Wang Dang Doodle
Little Walter – Walter’s Blues
Leadbelly – Goodnight Irene
Billie Holiday – Billie’s Blues
Otis Spann – Spann’s Boogie
Blues sounds like a sad word, but it is hard to miss exuberance and jubilation in the best of it.
Where did you find this stuff? Pretty good.

Thanks. I learned some of the names of the early blues recording artists back in the pre-Internet days. When YouTube came along, I was surprised to find that various videos existed of some of them. Interestingly, some of the most common videos were recorded in Britain or Europe just before the folk revival really took off in America in the early 1960s.
You can use the artist’s names to search for other videos and audios. Featured here are:
Hound Dog Taylor
Koko Taylor
Little Walter
Leadbelly
Billie Holliday
Otis Spann
Other names that may interest you are:
Sonny Boy Williamson
Muddy Waters
Mississippi John Hurt
Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee
Sam Houston
Robert Johnson
Arthur “Big Boy” Crudup
