Schumer’s Wages of ‘Resistance’
Assuming Biden does take office, he will face blowback from the treatment Trump’s nominees received.
“The result was unprecedented. As had been tradition, Presidents Clinton and Obama had nearly all of their cabinet confirmed in January. Mr. Clinton had 13 out of 14; Mr. Obama, 11 out of 15. Senate Democrats made sure Mr. Trump had only three.”
“Senate Democrats slowed down and attempted to block the confirmation of 24 of Mr. Trump’s cabinet and cabinet-rank nominees. None faced similar roadblocks during the first terms of Mr. Clinton, George W. Bush or Mr. Obama.
When lower-level nominees are included, Democrats attempted to block 79 executive-branch appointments in the first two years of Mr. Trump’s administration. His six predecessors combined faced the same obstruction only 18 times in their first two years.”
Elephants never forget.
So, when the blowback hits, no whining, it was richly earned.
LOL!
The Senate was in the iron grip of Mitch McConnell in January and February 2017. Is there no end to the whining?
This time table shows when the nominations were presented to the Senate and when the cabinet officer was confirmed. Go ahead and pretend that it is baaaaad. But pretend all you want, it is a non-issue. You are just playing the parrot again as the GOP starts to pre-justify a new wave of obstructionism.

We needn’t assume Biden will take office.

One of the problems that delayed approvals was the lack of vetting by the administration. If the senate has to conduct its own background investigations it just adds to the confusion and delay.

The lack of vetting coupled with the quality of the appointees certainly played a role throughout the Administration’s tenure. Heck, even the GOP sycophants couldn’t vote for some of the egregiously unqualified clowns put up for positions of responsibility.

See, that is what happens when the regime leader governs by “gut”, ample though it might be.

And you think that from the conservative point of view Obama’s appointees were any better?

How many Obama nominated federal judges were obstructed?
Yeah, that’s what I thought.

Not nearly enough.

So you approve of Congressional obstruction only when it suits you?
Do I really have to say it again?

Obama appointed a lot of outcome oriented judges with no respect for the law, and none of those should ever be confirmed.
