That is according to Trump’s acting DHS Secretary in sworn testimony to a Senate committee last week. Not Antifa (a philosophy, not an organization according to Trump’s FBI director). Not BLM. Not people protesting Trump’s regime (“left wing mobs” according to Barr). White Supremacists.
You have to admire the way that reality eventually “trumps” lies in a free society with a robust free press which can protect whistleblowers willing to stand up for the truth.

Time for a new DHS sect. if he is going to succumb to political correctness. Sure, it’s an odious philosophy, but just how dangerous are they?
Haw many murders have White Supremacists committed in the last decade? compared to gang warfare?
How many businesses have they burned? How many policemen injured?
Sure, they’re repugnant, but threat assessments should be based on actions and capability.
So, nasty as they are, they’re just a bunch of impotent losers and cowards whose own children are ashamed of them. Stop giving them the spotlight and they will fade away.

You are comparing apples and oranges. We can all agree that crime and criminals account for far more death and mayhem than organized White Supremacists such as the Proud Boys.
The point, of course, is that Trump is running on a campaign of fear and demonization with his fat finger pointing at BLM, “Antifa”, and “liberal mobs” while not only turning a blind eye to the “most persistent and lethal threat” but actually inciting and justifying their deadly behavior. I will not provide chapter and verse on the many, many times that Trump has done this. We have all seen that litany before.
The other day, here in Virginia, his supporters chanted – among other things – “Free Kyle Rittenhouse!” Such behavior in support of a deranged killer by so many people is alarming to most of us. Maybe not to you.

Kyle Rittenhouse may have been unwise to place himself in the path of the mob, but he acted entirely in self defense.
He should not have been arrested, much less charged. He is apolitical prisoner.

Your post is simply too embarrassing to respond to. What can possibly be said to someone who thinks it is okay for someone to illegally arm themselves, illegally cross state lines with that weapon, seek out people to kill and kill them.

Even if it were illegal for Rittenhouse to be armed and where he was, which it was not, he is still not required to submit to execution bu the mob.
He retreated as far as possible before using deadly force, and that is all the law requires when you are attacked, even if you had a part in the confrontation.

That sounds really bad, but what does it mean? How are we supposed to understand it?
The story doesn’t tell us. There are no numbers, no types of crimes, no costs or consequences reported. Thus, this story isn’t really about white supremacists. That’s just the click bait.
This story really is about lousy DHS communications. It appears Ken Cuccinelli demanded better work from his subordinates. Good on him.

The words of Trump’s Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security are actually pretty clear, here read them again . . .
“White supremacist extremists, from a lethality standpoint over the last two years, particularly when you look at 2018 and 2019, are certainly the most persistent and lethal threat when we talk about domestic violent extremists.”
Beyond that it means that people who claim that BLM, or Antifa or “liberal mobs” represent the greatest threat of domestic violence is simply lying.
If you doubt the truth of what Trump’s DHS is saying on this subject, why do you think that he would lie about such a sensitive matter?

The meaning of the words quoted could not be more clear and do not require to be further explained. Your contention that they do is an obvious fail. If you are REALLY confused then do your own research and find out just how murderous these groups have been in recent years.
You refer to this story as “clickbait,” but in fact, it is important evidence that a false narrative is being sold to the American people by the party of White Supremacy. The official quoted has been entrusted with the safety of the American people so his words have weight – especially when he goes against the party line where a homicidal jackass like Kyle Rittenhouse is some kind of hero.

What are the numbers? What are the types of crimes? What have been the costs or consequences? Answers to those questions would go a long way to explaining what your presumably self-evident “lethality standpoint” might be.
